1) What is the cost of the festival?
Festival Pasees are Q500 for all events and workshops from Friday, March 22- March 24th
Q400 From March 16th to 21st
Q350 Early Bird ONLINE PURCHASE until March 11th to 15th
Day passes are Q300 and will only be available from the Festival Opening
All passes will be checked at event spaces and need to be purchased prior to entry.
2) Where and when can I buy tickets?
Festival passes are on sale online from March 11th.
Passes will be available for purchase at Del Lago and Vida from March 16th
Day Passes will be not be available until the Festival opens on Friday evening.
If you have purchased your passes online,
you can also pick them up prior to workshops beginning at VIDA on Thursday and Friday.
3) Do I have to sign up for each workshop I want to go to?
No, just go to your desired workshop.
Some workshops may be limited for space so get there early
most are located in downtown San Marcos which is a small walking area.
4) Will there be a map? How far is it between workshops?
Yes. The furthest workshops are a 15 minute walk or can be reached via tuk tuk.
These locations are indicated on the schedule so you can plan accordingly.
5) How do the timings of the workshops work?
Most workshops are 90 minutes (unless otherwise stated).
Workshops begin fifteen minutes after the hour and then finish fifteen minutes before the next. (ex: 8:15-9:45)
Everyone has 30 minutes to get to there next workshop.
There are lots of places to grab snack, sandwiches etc and some venues sell coffee, beverages and food during the workshops.
6) Can I buy tickets/passes at the individual workshops?
NO! You must have your pass before entering the workshops and they will be checked before it starts.
If you do not have one, you will be asked to return to Vida or del Lago to get one.
It takes a lot of time and energy to organize this event and it is the Festival of Consciousness,
so Please be conscious and honest and purchase your passes. Thank you!
7) Where can I stay?
There are hostels and hotels in San Marcos, the average price for a dorm room is Q50 - Q75 per person.
In a few places you may be able to make a reservation but most work on a walk in basis.

La Paz Eco Hotel, Hotel Quetzal, Del Lago, Lush, Bosque Encantado, El Arbol, Eden,
The Third Eye Bakery, Hostel San Marcos and Maya Moon are some of your options.
Mayan Moon Lodge is in the next town, a 5 minute boat ride and 30 minute walk.
San Pedro is a 10 minute boat ride away.
The first boat heads to San Marcos at 6am and the last heading back to San Pedro is at 7:30pm.
Panajachel is about an hour away, first boat leaves at 7am and last returns to Pana at 5:30pm.
Private boats can be arranged and will cost you about Q300- Q500 depending where and when you are going.
8) What should I bring?
There is one bank machine here and sometimes it even has money in it.
Bring your own water bottle, yoga mat, a journal and a pen if you want to write and take notes.
Comfortable clothes and a great attitude are always useful and appreciated.
9) If I do not understand some of the workshops, is there someone who can explain them to me?
Yes, there will be a long version posted on this site.
10) How does it work if I am giving one of the workshops?
All facilitators get a weekend pass that allows you to attend the workshops and events.
You MUST come and see Katherine between Wednesday and Friday
or collect it at the door on March 22nd at Vida.
Facilitators will have a different colored wrist band so they are ONLY available from Katherine.
11) Can I go to just ONE workshop?
This will depend on pass sales prior to the event.
If there is space then individual tickets will be sold at Vida and del Lago for Q200 a workshop.
